Welcome to our winter issue. As this season comes to a close, we reflect on transition. Whether it be the transition from one season to the next or from one place to another, we hope that you find what you’re looking for soon. We understand that transition comes with a period of stagnation—of holding your breath and waiting for change. As we anticipate spring, it’s worthwhile to consider what we’re leaving behind: familiar hometowns in Calla Selicious’ “old v. new” and gutted fish in Julia Zhou’s “2Fish.”
As we gathered work for our third issue, these pieces struck a chord with us. We hope they do the same for you.
Wishing you warm days,
Vivian Lu and Serena Lin
